FAQ

Does 183 days in China automatically make me a tax resident?
183 days is one test, but domicile and actual stay must be assessed together. Non-domiciled individuals may benefit from the six-year rule under conditions — we conclude after modelling.
Is foreign-source income taxable in China?
If you are a Chinese tax resident, worldwide income is in principle reportable. Treaty credits can prevent double taxation, and we compute the credit limit.
Must expatriates pay social security?
In principle yes, but nationals of countries with bilateral social security agreements (Germany, Korea, Japan and others) can apply for exemption. We check by nationality.
